Dear Parents and Carers,
As you will be aware, your child will soon be completing their final GCSE examination, after which they will not be required to attend school. I am writing to you to ask for your support in ensuring that your child’s remaining days in school are conducted in a calm and successful manner.
We will continue to liaise very closely with local community leaders, local ward councillors, businesses, community workers and the Police to ensure that all our stakeholders will remain safe at all times and that no-one acts in a manner that adversely impacts the reputation of our school.
Please understand that any students found to be involved in any inappropriate or anti-social behaviour in the coming days, either within school or in our local community, will be subject to some or all of the following sanctions: –
- Loss of invite to the school’s summer Prom
- Loss of invite to the school’s August Results Day Celebration
- Loss of invite to the school’s November Presentation Evening
- Potential loss of college place (all information will be passed directly to college admission staff)
We hope that all our young people are able to continue to make the correct choices and observe the passing of this milestone in their lives in a way that is respectful and appropriate. I look forward to your support in ensuring that this happens.
Yours faithfully,
Mr J Cregg
Headteacher
