Positive Steps Careers Advisers are available at The Radclyffe School to deliver Information, Advice and Guidance with a particular focus on Careers to students in Years 9, 10 and 11.
Our Advisers are based in the Careers Room on Level 3 and available in School 4.5 days a week with drop in’s during break and lunch each day. They work with students through individual appointments and delivery of internal and external careers events. All aimed at assisting students to think about their future plans. This includes helping students consider what options to take in Year 9 and helping Year 10 & 11’s decide which route is best for them post 16 – such as Sixth Form, Vocational Colleges, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Study Programme.
Students can access information on specific careers, receive help to complete application forms and CV’s, receive advice about employment and help with interview techniques amongst other things.
Parents are welcome to get in touch with the Advisers and they are available to speak to at Options Evenings and Year 9, 10 and 11 Parents’ evenings. During school holidays, Advisers can be contacted at ‘The Centre’ in Oldham (80 Union Street, Oldham, OL1 1DJ).
