Whilst our 5 Respects underpin these values and are threaded throughout all that we do, we also offer dedicated time to teach students about safety, health and wellbeing, safe and positive relationships and preparing for life and work in the Wider World through our Personal Development curriculum, Welcome and well-being sessions, and career provisions. We also provide vast opportunities for ‘learning outside of the classroom’ to holistically educate our learners for life so that they are able to leave The Radclyffe School as well-rounded members of the community and citizens of modern-day Britain.
There is strong evidence that, when taught well, this ‘curriculum for life’ is popular with parents and helps children and young people to protect themselves and others both online and offline, improves their physical and emotional health, and develops character, resilience, academic attainment and employment prospects, with the greatest benefits experienced by the most disadvantaged pupils
