Transition
The transition between primary and secondary school can be quite daunting for year 7’s.
The Radclyffe School has a dedicated and experienced transition team who do their utmost to make this transition as smooth as possible for each and every new student.
Staff and students from The Radclyffe School visit feeder primary schools throughout the year to start this process and interact with the children. Year 6 children that have a place at The Radclyffe School have extra visits and are guided as they prepare to join us.
We require students to attend an Induction Day that is carefully structured and supported to introduce each child to The Radclyffe School and how we work day-to-day. Each student will also meet their Year Manager and Personal Learning Guide
We also guide parents through the transition, keeping you informed about every step of the process and inviting you to a New Parents’ Evening
