How to apply for a place at The Radclyffe School
- Apply online through Oldham Local Authority
- The application deadline is usually 31 October
- Parents are encouraged to list three or more schools in order of preference
- If your child attends a school in Oldham but you live outside the borough, you must apply through the Local Authority where you live
- Ensure you press submit at the end of the application process. If you do not do this, your application will not be sent

What happens after I submit my application?
After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from the Local Authority. If you do not receive this, please check your junk or spam folder or contact the Local Authority directly.
School places are confirmed on National Offer Day (Monday 2 March 2026). Parents will be notified by email only.
What happens if my child is offered a place?
Congratulations! We look forward to welcoming your child to The Radclyffe School.
Our transition programme helps Year 6 pupils feel confident and prepared for secondary school. Students are invited to attend an Induction Day, where they will:
- Meet their Year Manager
- Meet their Personal Learning Guide (PLG)
- Become familiar with the school environment and daily routines
Parents are also invited to a New Parents’ Evening, where we share key information about starting at the school.

Can I appeal the decision if my child has not been offered a place?
If your child is not offered a place at The Radclyffe School, you have the right to appeal the decision.
- The deadline for appeals is 10 April 2026
- Appeal hearings will begin during the week commencing 29 June 2026
- Appeals are heard by an independent panel
