Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the team from Cheshire Falconry to school for a truly unforgettable birds of prey experience. Organised by our fantastic science department, Year 7 students were treated to a series of live demonstrations and hands-on sessions where they could see these incredible creatures in flight and learn about their unique characteristics.
Throughout the morning, students were introduced to a range of different birds, each with their own fascinating adaptations. From swooping owls to powerful hawks, they watched as the birds showed off their skills and behaviours, bringing science to life right before their eyes.
Pupils were full of curiosity, asking brilliant questions and engaging with the experts, even getting the rare chance to meet some of the birds up close. It was an inspiring and eye-opening experience, one that many described as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
A huge thank you to Cheshire Falconry for sharing their knowledge and passion with us today.
