What does my child need to wear on Transition Day?
Children will need to attend in their primary school uniform.
What equipment will my child need?
They will need a pencil case of the basics (pen, pencil, rubber, ruler)
What time do they need to arrive at school?
Children will need to arrive at school at 8.30am.
What time can I collect them from school?
Children can be collected at school from 2.50pm.
Yes, Will school be providing lunch for my child?
Lunch will be provided. However, children should bring their own snack and a refillable drink bottle for the morning break. Please note that energy drinks and sweets are not permitted, so we kindly ask that you provide a healthy snack option.
Can my child use their mobile phone in school?
If your child has a mobile phone they must be switched off and in bags before they enter the school. Children are not allowed to use their phones in school. If your child needs to contact you in the school day a member of the pastoral staff will assist.
What if my child has a EHCP?
Vulnerable Children: Students with EHCPs, those in care, children in need, or those on the Child Protection register will be identified by the end of May to enable tailored transition arrangements to be put in place.
What else can you do to prepare for Transition?
- Keep an eye on our school website.
- Ensure your child arrives at school in the correct uniform.
- Ensure your child has the equipment they need in school.
- Keep up to date with all letters and correspondence from school.
How can I see my child’s timetable or how they are doing at school?
By downloading the MyChildAtSchool App you will have ready access to your child’s timetable, attendance, progress and behaviour once they start at The Radclyffe School, as well as being kept up to date with school correspondence. We will notify you once you are eligible to download the App.
