Food Vouchers to cover the Christmas Holiday 2023 for Free School Meal Students
You may have read in the local media that Oldham Council has been allocated funding to support vulnerable residents through its Household Support Fund. Some of this funding will be used to cover food voucher support for children eligible for means tested Free School Meals over school holidays. Dear Parents/Carer, We are seeing an increase in the number of parents arriving at reception wanting to collect their child because they are unwell, but the school has no knowledge that there is an issue or problem. It would appear that a minority of students are using their own mobile phones to contact home rather than following the school procedures when they feel unwell. National Tutoring Programme for students at Key Stage 4
Dear Parent/Carer, The Radclyffe School are working with the National Tutoring Programme to support our Year 10 and Year 11 students further with their ongoing education by offering FREE online tutoring sessions. Students will receive online tutoring from home after school on a 1:1 ratio basis which will be carried out by an outside agency. Time to get green fingered and growing
The arrival of Summer after what was a cold and wet Spring has seen something growing in the school garden - students’ enthusiasm for planting, sowing, weeding and seeing the results of their efforts emerge from the ground. Students are discovering that ‘lost learning’ needn’t be lost forever. A national project to pair young people with a tutor, who they would meet online has been a great success in the past year. The time in school that was missed during the pandemic caused real concern that young people might have missed out and fallen behind in their study.
