We are pleased to introduce Cloud Design Box as our new platform for accessing and managing home learning at The Radclyffe School.
Satchel:One has now been fully retired and is no longer available to students, parents/carers or staff. As part of our continued commitment to improving teaching, learning and independent study, we have adopted Cloud Design Box as a modern solution that better supports our students' learning experience and integrates with the digital tools they already use every day.
Why Have We Made the Change?
Cloud Design Box allows us to provide a more streamlined and consistent approach to home learning across the school. Importantly, it leverages the Microsoft 365 tools that students already use as part of their daily learning experience, including Microsoft Teams, helping to bring resources, assignments and communication together in a familiar environment.
By building on existing Microsoft 365 functionality, students benefit from a more connected learning experience, reducing the need to access multiple separate platforms and making it easier to find the resources they need to support their learning.
The move to Cloud Design Box forms part of our wider focus on developing strong independent study habits and ensuring students have easy access to high-quality learning materials both in school and at home.
How Students Access Their Home Learning
Students can access their home learning quickly and easily through the school website.
To access Cloud Design Box:
- Visit the school website, theradclyffeschool.co.uk
- Click Student Login at the top of the homepage.

- Login using their school email address ([email protected] and their school password)
- Select Cloud Design Box.

- View home learning tasks, resources and deadlines set by teachers.
Students should check Cloud Design Box regularly and ensure that all home learning is completed by the deadlines provided.
Information for Parents and Carers
We recognise that many parents/carers valued the parent login functionality available previously through Satchel:One.
At present, Cloud Design Box does not offer a dedicated parental login that allows parents/carers to view home learning directly. However, this is an area we are actively investigating in collaboration with colleagues across the Cranmer Education Trust to determine the most effective long-term solution for parents and carers.
Until such functionality becomes available, we encourage parents and carers to discuss home learning regularly with their child and ask them to share the tasks and resources available through Cloud Design Box.
Supporting Learning Beyond the Classroom
Home learning remains an important part of a student's educational journey. Effective home learning helps students to:
- Consolidate learning from lessons.
- Develop independence and responsibility.
- Build effective study routines.
- Improve organisation and time management skills.
- Prepare for assessments and examinations.
- Take ownership of their learning and progress.
By combining home learning with the powerful tools available within Microsoft 365, Cloud Design Box will help students access learning resources more easily and support them in becoming confident, successful and independent learners.
Looking Ahead
We are excited about the opportunities that Cloud Design Box brings and believe it represents a positive step forward in our approach to home learning. By integrating with the Microsoft 365 environment already used by students and staff, the platform provides a more connected, accessible and future-focused learning experience.
We would like to thank students and families for their support as we continue to develop and enhance home learning provision at The Radclyffe School. Together, we can ensure that students have the tools, resources and support they need to succeed both in and beyond the classroom.
