Important IT information for all staff and students
As part of The Radclyffe School's transition to the Cranmer Education Trust (CET), our IT systems are now integrated with the CET network. Below is essential information for both staff and students about accessing your accounts, documents, and resources.
Accessing Your Accounts
-
Login: Use the "Staff Login" or "Student Login" options at the top of the school website to sign in.
-
Email: Your email addresses remain the same ([email protected] or [email protected]). However, you must use the new CET password that was set in the final weeks of term.
-
Forgot your password? If you haven’t set or have forgotten it, you will need to wait until school resumes in September for assistance.
-
Resources & Documents
-
OneDrive, H Drives, and Email: All your work stored on H Drives, OneDrive, and school emails has been automatically transferred. You can now access them using your login credentials.
-
Microsoft-linked Resources: Most external resources that use the "Sign in with Microsoft" option should now be working.
- "Sign in with Google" - Please note that the Trust does not provide the option to use "Sign in with Google" on sites that support it. Only the "Sign in with Microsoft" option will work.
Staff-Specific Information
The following instructions are for staff only.
Staff Laptops
-
Setup Process: Upon logging in to your staff laptop, you will be prompted to set up Windows Hello (for facial recognition or fingerprint sign-in) and a secure PIN. If this doesn’t appear immediately, it may show up after the second or third login attempt.
-
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): For added security, you must set up MFA using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
-
Open the app, click the "+" button, and select "Work or school account". Then scan the QR code on your device to complete the setup.
-
Important: The new MFA account in the app will be listed as "Cranmer Education Trust". The old "TRS" account is no longer in use and can be deleted from the app.
-
Email Access & Outlook Setup
-
Outlook:
-
Access email via the “Outlook” link on the Staff Portal or set up the Outlook client on your laptop.
-
In the laptop search bar, type “Outlook” and select Outlook (classic) for the most familiar interface.
-
If the email address is prepopulated with [email protected], change it to [email protected] and click "Connect".
-
Pin Outlook to your taskbar for easy access.
-
-
Missing Emails: If any emails are missing, please contact the ICT Techs at [email protected] ASAP
OneDrive Access
-
Sign-in: Type “OneDrive” in the search bar and sign in using your school email address. You will need to enter your new CET password and authenticate via MFA
- Missing Files: If any files are missing, please contact the ICT Techs at [email protected] ASAP.
Cloud Drive Mapper:
-
If your drives don’t map automatically, enter your school email in the pop-up prompt and confirm with MFA.
-
If the "R" drive folders don't show the "TRS-" prefix, clear the Cloud Drive Mapper cache:
-
- Exit the Cloud Drive Mapper app
- Visit this link and sort the name column Ascending.
-
Select Cloud Drive Mapper and Cloud Drive Mapper Legacy, then delete them.
- Copy this path without the quotation marks "%LOCALAPPDATA%\IAM Cloud" and delete any folders within this folder. The folder would normally be called "Cloud Drive Mapper".
- Wait 60 seconds, and then reopen the Cloud Drive Mapper app to remap your drives.
- A short video guide is available below if required.
Adobe Creative Cloud
-
Sign-In: You can now use your school email address to sign into Adobe Creative Cloud.
-
Search for "Adobe Creative Cloud" in the taskbar and open the app.
-
Sign in using the "Continue with Microsoft" option. If prompted to create an account, enter your school email address, and it will show an option to sign in with your existing account.
-
Once signed in, you can install any available apps. We recommend installing Adobe Acrobat as a minimum, and Photoshop if you work with images. Simply click "Install" next to the app you wish to download.
