Our weekly celebration of students’ excellence.
The Book of Excellence is a striking celebration of the school’s ethos. Created from our students’ design concepts, at its heart the book is building a permanent, ever-growing record of our students’ achievement and excellence throughout the school.
Each week a student from each year group is chosen from staff nominations, their success recorded in the book for everyone to see. The pages build up an archive of distinction through the year.

Maya nominated by Mrs Coope
I would like to nominate Maya for the Book of Excellence as she scored two goals in the netball match this week. She has only recently started attending Netball club but is making excellent progress already. Maya always tries her hardest in lesson and is always polite and respectful. Keep it up Maya – sorry I always pronounce your name wrong, I will get there!
Ayesha nominated by Mr Shahid
I would like to nominate Ayesha for the Book of Excellence because I was carrying my books down from Maths to English at break time and Ayesha selflessly volunteered herself to help carry some.

Carla nominated by Mrs Mukuna
Carla is wonderful to teach! She arrives ahead of everyone else and is so helpful at handing things out. Carla always contributes answers and is thoughtful with her responses too. Well done.
Emma nominated by Mrs Collins
Emma is an exceptionally conscientious student who consistently demonstrates the school’s 5 Respects. Since September, she has shown a remarkable new level of determination and focus as she prepares for her GCSEs. A standout moment occurred last week during a Science lesson, when the class was asked to draw a graph—a task Emma openly admitted she had previously lacked confidence in. Despite this, she showed real resilience and independence. After I introduced the task, Emma insisted on completing the graph herself, knowing that mastering this skill would be essential for her upcoming exams. Her commitment to overcoming challenges and pushing herself further was inspiring to see. Emma’s growth this year has been extraordinary. Her attitude, perseverance, and drive to succeed make her a shining example to others. I am delighted to nominate her for the Book of Excellence, and I encourage her to continue this impressive pace throughout the rest of her GCSE journey.

Inayah nominated by Mr Shahid
I would like to nominate Inayah for the Book of Excellence for 100% effort in Maths since the start of the year. Inayah has been on top of her in school work and her SPARX homework as well as attending maths revision/intervention every week on time. Well done Inayah!
