Dear Parents and Carers,
In order to support the continuity of Education for our students who are isolating at home due to Covid, the majority of subjects will be providing live lessons via a screen sharing platform from Thursday 20th January. School laptops will have the team viewer app installed automatically, if students are using their own device to access their learning the app can be downloaded from the links below.
The meeting code your child will need to connect to your lesson can be found on the school Intranet, where they click on the TeamViewer meeting icon (example below) and find the code next to their teacher.
Students should sign in to each lesson on their timetable via the team viewer app and complete their classwork in their books or on paper. Work should be returned to school when students have completed their isolation so it can receive feedback in line with the normal cycle.
An information video can be found here to support the use of the team viewer app: https://youtu.be/VxSbXdd3ox0
The assembly shown to all students in school this morning can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/oi2j3PgLAmw
In order to avoid disruption to classroom based learning the meetings will have the chat function disabled and students should ensure that they participate in all lessons in a respectful and considerate way. Practical subjects will provide work on Frog using web based resources.
Teachers who are isolating due to Covid but well enough to work from home will provide work on Frog for each lesson, if staff are unwell then students can access resources independently through the guided learning pages or the following websites:
Oak National Academy (thenational.academy) Home – BBC Bitesize
Assessments will not be completed at home and can be done when students return to school.
Home learning will be set on Frog for all year groups and students should access all digital learning while learning at home.
Our online learning provision is ‘device neutral’ so everything can be accessed on any device with students working both online and on paper.
Remember, if you have any concerns about helping your child learn or you need any other support from the school, please let us know by contacting school: Email: Admin@theradclyffeschool.co.uk Telephone: 0161 622 3200
There is also help available to support parents and students with accessing Frog: https://theradclyffeschool.co.uk/homelearning/
Students should contact their teachers via email if they need help with their work
Yours faithfully,
Mrs E. Black
