Dear Parents and Carers,
In order to support the continuity of Education for our year 11 students during study leave all subjects will be providing live lessons via a screen sharing platform (TeamViewer Meeting) from Thursday 26th May. Lessons will continue until the final exams have been completed for each subject. Once all the exams for a particular subject have been completed then students should use the time to prepare for their remaining exams. School laptops will have the TeamViewer Meeting app installed automatically, if students are using their own device to access their learning the app can be downloaded from the links below.
The meeting code your child will need to connect to your lesson can be found on the school Intranet (“Login” button at the top of this webpage), where they click on the TeamViewer meeting icon (example below) and find the code next to their teacher.

Students should sign in to each lesson on their timetable via the team viewer app and complete their classwork in their books or on paper. Students will not be required to print off resources at home.
Work will also be set using GCSE POD, Hegarty (Maths only), Oak National Academy and Seneca learning.
An information video can be found here to support the use of the team viewer app: https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/e0171ec2-3c50-46ec-9f56-3556fe474bed
In order to support interaction the chat function will be enabled so students must ensure that they participate in all lessons in a respectful and considerate way.
Our online learning provision is ‘device neutral’ so everything can be accessed on any device with students working both online and on paper.
All year 11 class teachers will be available for remote lessons according to the timetable until their subject exams have been completed.
Remember, if you have any concerns about helping your child learn or you need any other support from the school, please let us know by contacting school: Email: [email protected] Telephone: 0161 622 3200
Students should contact their teachers via email if they need help with their work.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs E. Black
Assistant Headteacher
