Dear Parent/Carer
For all students who have submitted their work experience forms, Year 10 Work Experience will take place on Monday 3rd July – Friday 7th July. If your child has submitted their forms and we have completed the necessary checks then their name and placement will be displayed on the Year 10 notice board in school.
Your child will be responsible for checking the notice board and noting down their placement details in their work experience booklet. Your child must then contact their placement one week prior to them attending to confirm the following:
- Working times (The times must fit within the school day)
- Dress code
- Lunch arrangements
If the contact raises any questions please ensure that your child contacts a member of the careers department as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to experience the world of work, and have meaningful encounters with employers to understand what skills are required for them to succeed beyond The Radclyffe School.
All students on placement will be given a work experience booklet. This booklet is required to be completed at the end of each day and handed to the employer to complete on the final day. Staff will contact the placements throughout the week to confirm attendance, and also conduct work place visits where possible. Should your child become ill during the work experience week, your child must contact school and their placement to inform at the earliest opportunity.
Any student who has not sourced a placement will be required to attend school as normal.
Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Mrs Thompson.
Yours sincerely
Miss Parkinson
