The Government have announced a scheme to support students who are struggling with exceeding data allowances on their mobile phone during this period of remote learning.
To check if you are eligible to access the scheme, please view the eligibility criteria on the form at the bottom of this page.
If you meet the criteria, then please complete the information required in the form and ensure you have read the privacy statement.
The Radclyffe School will then be regularly sending off completed forms to the Government where they will process the requests we provide.
Please note that this is a Government scheme which The Radclyffe School has been asked to collect data for on behalf of our students. As such we are not responsible for the mobile networks taking part in the scheme, or whose applications will be approved or rejected once details are submitted by The Radclyffe School on your behalf.
If your application for additional data is approved you will receive a communication directly from your mobile network provider.
Details of the additional data allowances that are being provided my mobile networks involved in the scheme can be found below. These details are accurate as of 23rd February 2021.
BT Mobile
Be aware that until the end of February, it may take BT Mobile some time to process requests.
- The recipient will get unlimited data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and active Pay As You Go customers.
- The recipient must have been a BT Mobile customer for at least 3 months.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
EE
Be aware that until the end of January, it may take EE some time to process requests.
- The recipient will get unlimited data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and active Pay-as-you-go customers.
- The recipient must have been an EE customer for at least 3 months.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
giffgaff
- The recipient will get 100GB of additional data, subject to giffgaff's terms and fair use policy.
- The offer is available to any eligible member with an active giffgaff goodybag.
- The offer is not available for pay as you go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- giffgaff will aim to process the request within 14 days.
iD Mobile
- The recipient will get unlimited data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and Pay as you go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- iD Mobile will aim to process the request within 14 days.
Lycamobile
- The recipient will get 20GB of additional data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available for active Pay as you go customers who have purchased a £10, £15 or £20 bundle (that includes data) in each of the last 3 months.
- The recipient must have also made and received calls using a Lycamobile SIM card in each of the last 3 months.
- The monthly data increase can only be given if the recipient continues to have an active £10, £15 or £20 bundle each month. If the qualifying bundle expires, Lycamobile will not provide additional mobile data.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
O2
Be aware that until the end of January, it may take O2 some time to process requests.
- The recipient will get 40GB of additional data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and active Pay As You Go customers.
- The recipient must have been an O2 customer for at least 6 months.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
Sky Mobile
- The recipient will get 100GB of additional data.
- The offer is available to Pay Monthly customers.
- Sky Mobile customers will be able to see the data uplift in their piggybank.
- Sky Mobile will aim to process the request within 14 days.
SMARTY
- The recipient will get unlimited data until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and active Pay-as-you-go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- SMARTY will aim to process the request within 14 days.
Tesco Mobile
- The recipient will get 20GB of additional data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both pay monthly and active pay as you go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- Tesco Mobile will aim to process the request within 14 days.
Three
- The recipient will get unlimited data until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay Monthly and active Pay-as-you-go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- Three will aim to process the request within 14 days.
Virgin Mobile
- The recipient will get 20GB of additional data per month until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is only available to Pay Monthly customers. It’s not available to Pay-as-you-go customers.
- A text message will be sent to the nominated device once the additional data has been added to the account.
- Virgin Mobile will aim to process the request within 14 days.
- Wi-Fi hotspots are open to all existing customers, including those on Pay-as-you-go. Customers on Pay-as-you-go will need to have a minimum of £5 credit. Instructions to download the app and find their nearest hotspot can be found by going to www.virginmedia.com/wifiapp.
Vodafone
Be aware that until the end of January, it may take Vodafone some time to process requests.
- The recipient will get unlimited data until 31 July 2021.
- The offer is available to both Pay monthly and active Pay as you go customers. Pay as you go customers must have a Big Value Bundle worth £10 or above to be eligible.
