OCR National Sports Studies/OCR Sport Science exam on Monday 11th January 2021

Dear parents and students,

You will be aware that the decision has been made not to assess GCSE grades this year via the usually summer exams, rather an assessment grades will be made via teacher assessment.

As yet, there has not been a final decision about the assessment of non-GCSE qualifications.  On Monday 11^th January some students are due sit an external exam for the OCR National Sports Studies or OCR Sport Science qualification.

The decision on whether to go ahead with this exam has been given to schools.  The guidance to schools is clear that the exam should only go ahead if schools ‘judge it right to do so’. On this basis, the examinations on Monday 11^th January 2021 in Sports Studies and Sport Science WILL NOT go ahead.
