Dear Year 6 Pupil and Parents/Carers,
Once again, we would like to congratulate you on securing a place at The Radclyffe School for September 2025. At The Radclyffe School we are committed to do everything we can to support you and your child with your transition from Primary to Secondary education and keep you informed of any updates which may help and support you at this time.
I would now like to share with you two important dates for your child’s transition to The Radclyffe School:
Tuesday 24th June: New Parents Evening, 4:00pm to 5:30pm
On this evening, you will have the opportunity to come and meet key staff at our school including your child’s Personal Learning Guide (PLG) who will be supporting them throughout their five-year journey with us. In addition, uniform suppliers will be in attendance should you wish to purchase or order key items ready for September. Please can you confirm your attendance so we can prepare for numbers by completing this form.
Thursday 3rd July: Year 6 Induction Day: 8:30am to 2:50pm
Your child will have the chance to spend a full day with us to experience The Radclyffe Way and get a taste of what to expect in September. The day will involve sessions with PLGs, a range of lesson activities and a special performance of our school production, The Addams Family Musical. Please send your child in full primary school uniform, with suitable footwear for PE and a school bag with a pen and pencil.
In addition, I would also like to inform you of our year 7 teambuilding day out to Linnet Clough, which is going to take place in September. Further details of this will be sent out in the coming weeks, along with how to give consent using our ParentPay System.
I look forward to meeting you and your child at our upcoming transition events. Should you have any questions in the meantime, then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.
Further information can be found on the Transition pages of our school website here.
Best wishes,
Mr J Cregg Mr D Corrigan
