{gspeech}Dear Parents and Carers,
Following my letter to you last week, I can confirm that the school has received notification from the NEU trade union that its members will take industrial strike action on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March. This action relates to a national dispute over pay.
A significant number of staff within our school are members of this union and therefore the school will be affected by the industrial action.
We have conducted a thorough risk assessment and based upon the number of teaching staff we expect to be in school on Wednesday and Thursday, we will not be able to offer our usual, in-school lessons to all year groups. The arrangements for those days will be as follows: –
| Year Group | Arrangements for 15th & 16th March |
| Year 11 | Attend school as normal |
| Year 10 | Online Learning |
| Year 9 | Online Learning |
| Year 8 | Online Learning |
| Year 7 | Online Learning |
| All students with an EHCP | Attend school as normal |
| All Looked After Children | Attend school as normal |
Students in Year 11 must attend school at the usual time (no later than 8.35am) wearing their full school uniform. Café Mojo will be open at the normal break and lunch times.
Students in Years 7-10 will access a mixture of live lessons and other online learning resources that will mirror their usual timetable. The arrangements for this will be the same as the previous strike days of 1st and 28th February. A reminder of how your child will access this online curriculum will be sent in a separate message.
Parents and carers of Looked After Children and students with EHCPs will be contacted directly by our Learning Support staff to share details of the provision for the two strike days.
Yours sincerely
J Cregg
