Holidays During Term Time
We have all been affected by the difficulties and restrictions placed upon us during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we now feel hopeful and optimistic as we slowly return to some sense of normality within our school. We are now implementing our Curriculum Recovery Strategy in order to reduce the impact enforced closures have had on education.
The recent announcement regarding the lifting of travel restrictions has undoubtedly prompted our thoughts of travel and holidays once again. Please do not intentionally remove your child from school for family holidays or events. Whilst the Local Authority may issue a Penalty Notice costing up to £120 per parent, it is your child who will ultimately pay the price of additional lost learning opportunities.
In summary, please ensure your child attends school every day to ensure they take full advantage of interventions and resources to support their learning. Schools are not permitted to authorise Leave of Absence and we expect parent/carers to use the 13 weeks of school closure available.
