The Radclyffe School is doing all we can to provide suitable devices to students to access their remote learning, however demand does exceed the number of devices we have available to loan to students.
We have been sent the following information from Greater Manchester Combined Authority to pass on to parents/carers. If we have not yet been able to help your child with access to a suitable device then please read on to see if you can get assistance from your local Jobcentre.
Parents/carers who meet the criteria below may be entitled to help with connectivity and/or devices from their local Jobcentre:
• Is your child in receipt of Universal Credit Payments?
• Is your child without the equipment / internet to access their learning online?
• Do you have a work coach from your local Jobcentre?
o If the answer to all 3 is YES, parents/carers may be eligible to access support from the Flexible Support Fund through their local Job Centre. If they are able to get online then they can contact their work coach through their online Universal Credit journal for more information and to check whether they are eligible.
o If parents/carers answer YES to questions 1 & 2 but do not have a work coach or are struggling with getting online then they can arrange an appointment to discuss this with a work coach from their local Jobcentre by contacting the Service Centre on 0800 328 5644.
