{gspeech}Dear Parents/Carers,
Throughout your child’s time here at The Radclyffe School there will be key points where they will have to make some key decisions about their future plans. With this in mind, we wish to draw your attention to some key dates and opportunities for your child to get involved in.

- Wednesday 4th October: School Careers Fair All students in Year 11 will be brought down to the hall during lesson time, here they will have the opportunity to meet with over 20 local Colleges, Sixth Forms and Apprenticeship/Training Providers. We expect students to use this to find out about College facilities, performance, location, course availability and entry criteria.
- Thursday 9th November: Year 11 Parents Evening 4:30pm – 7:30pm: Local Colleges (Oldham Sixth Form College, Oldham College, Hopwood Hall and Manchester College) are invited and will be based on Level 2 for you to speak to, as well as both of our Careers Advisers.
- Thursday 9th November: Mock Interviews 4:30pm-7:30pm This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to have their personal statement looked over by an employer and experience first-hand what to expect when they go for their college interview. There are a limited number of spaces so it is important that your child submits their application form to their Head of Year as soon as possible.
- Monday 13th November: Internal college application deadline All paper application forms are to be submitted by this date to the Personal Development Hub in School. Most Colleges allow online applications, if your child submits online please ask them to inform our Careers Adviser by email or by visiting the Personal Development Hub.
During the course of the Autumn term, all students will receive further information on A Levels, Vocational Courses and Apprenticeships in their Personal Development lesson. In addition, students are able to drop into the Personal Development Hub every lunch and break time for further support.
Yours sincerely,
The Careers Team{/gspeech}
