The Radclyffe School planned an exciting and diverse summer school programme for our new year 7 students from Monday 16th August to Friday 20th August 2021.
The summer school programme gave students the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their new school environment, and build positive relationships with both staff and students. A varied timetable was offered to 60 students which included a blend of academic education and enrichment activities. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a range of exciting, stimulating and challenging activities throughout the week.
Students were able to meet with their individual group leader every morning for breakfast and participate in board and card games before the sessions started.
As well as academic subjects, students were able to participate in enrichment activities every afternoon. Students participated in sport, baking, arts and craft, quizzing, and orienteering within their groups.
The summer school programme finished with an outdoor trip to Applejacks Farm in Warrington. Students spent the day participating in many activities including the park, inflatable slides, zip wire, ball blast, archery, and working as a team to find their way out of the maze.
The total cost of our summer school programme was £23,259.64.
