Dear all,
As the weather has been improving, we have noticed an increase in the number of students wearing hoodies, non-school jumpers, tracksuit tops and gilets inside the school building. This is a reminder that these items are banned from school. We have been patient during the last few weeks by reminding students of our uniform expectations and allowing them to remove banned items of clothing and place them in their bags.
From Monday 28th March there will be a zero-tolerance approach to this issue. Any student who is seen wearing the above-mentioned banned items of clothing will have them confiscated and handed to the school office.
During students’ daily PLG session a uniform check will take place each morning to ensure they are ready for learning. This check will include jewellery and it will be students’ only opportunity to remove and put away banned items. If such items are seen throughout the day, they will be confiscated and handed to the school office.
In summary, once students leave their PLG session their uniform should meet all the school uniform expectations.
95% of students meet our uniform expectations every day, however we feel that it is important that all receive the same message.
Thank you.
