From jobs in the Health Service to work in Construction, students in Year 10 spent a week discovering virtually about the demands of a working life. With work experience placements not possible this year, a busy programme of online discussions and presentations allowed the young people to see for themselves what different jobs involved.
As students begin to think about the choices available to them once they move on from school, it’s important to ensure they can access the very best quality advice and support. Oldham Careers service, Positive Steps began the week with a session to help the young people plan for their future in whatever path they choose.
With a mixture of expertise and experience, the speakers offered something for everyone.
Head of C&V Miss Parkinson explained, “It was an opportunity for our students to interact with employers, understand and explore key skills that are relevant to succeed in the world of work and allow them to prepare for life beyond The Radclyffe School.”
