During the times in the past year when we have been learning at home, our termly student enrichment activities haven’t taken place in school. This hasn’t stopped us, or students, from taking part in new activities at home, or when possible in the great outdoors.
Even after students returned to school we have continued to set them a series of challenges, which they have responded to with creativity and imagination. So thank you to everyone who has got active and submitted entries to any of the challenges.
Tristan in Year 8 took to the water in response to the Exercise challenge.
Congratulations to Aleena Hassan in Year 7, winner of the Photography Challenge with her image of Dovestones reservoir in Saddleworth.
Students in Year 7 and 8 still have time to submit an entry for the Creative Writing Challenge, Students were asked to write a short story about a time they felt overwhelmed with emotion. 200 words maximum, and please email your entry to Mr Howarth or Mr Parsey, firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date is this Sunday, 30th May. Look out for more challenges in coming weeks.
