Ghostly Christmas goings on brings dramatic learning
Christmas came early to The Radclyffe School this week, with a familiar ghostly tale performed for students. Quantum Theatre were in school to present Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – a story that students in Year 10 are studying for GCSE. Students find it’s never too early for an industry insight
Students in Year 7 at The Radclyffe School enjoyed a practical introduction to the world of work, with a day of workshops, hands on experiments and plenty of learning. Employers as diverse as construction giant Balfour Beatty, the NHS, and electrical contractors Barlows visited the school. Students learn cricket, the game and the business
Year 11 Sport Studies students took a trip to the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground for a fixture where rain couldn't stop play. The visit was split into two halves, where the students were given an introduction to cricket. For some the game was familiar, for others completely new. Working with coaches from Lancashire CC, they were introduced to fielding and batting - bowling would have to wait. New pupils welcomed to Open Evening
Students and staff at The Radclyffe School showed off our excellent school at the end of September, welcoming Year 5 and 6 pupils and their parents and carers into the building. An evening of discovery was promised across all of the school’s faculties. National Tutoring Programme for students at Key Stage 4
Dear Parent/Carer, The Radclyffe School are working with the National Tutoring Programme to support our Year 10 and Year 11 students further with their ongoing education by offering FREE online tutoring sessions. Students will receive online tutoring from home after school on a 1:1 ratio basis which will be carried out by an outside agency.
