Award for quality careers education
We are delighted to announce that the school has achieved the national Quality in Careers Standard for our careers education, advice and guidance.
At The Radclyffe School we recognise that as well as providing students with knowledge, it is vital to provide students with the information they need to make sound choices about their future, and the education, training and job opportunities that are available to them.
Every young person needs high quality careers guidance to make informed decisions about their future. Our approach is delivered according to established national benchmarks, which include a stable careers programme, linking the curriculum to careers, addressing the needs of each student, and learning from career and labour market information.
Students are offered frequent encounters with employers and employees to learn from their experience. They visit a range of work places, and engage with further and higher education, helping to raise expectations and ambitions.
Personal guidance in school from our very own Careers Advisor courtesy of Positive Steps enables students to have excellent support close at hand.
Miss Parkinson, CEIAG co-ordinator said, “We strongly believe in ensuring that we prepare our students to transition successfully towards a future career path. That is why we pride ourselves on ensuring our curriculum is a curriculum for life, providing opportunities for students to build on their capabilities, support students’ interests and aspirations, and help them to make informed decisions about their subject choices and pathways.
