On the 8th March, we shared an important assembly with students, parents and carers regarding how GCSE grades will be awarded in 2021. This summer’s grades will be based on evidence of the standard at which students are performing and only on material they have been taught.
Our priority since our students returned, has been to support their well-being, balancing quality first teaching with a carefully planned series of internal assessments in each subject. Learning and revisiting key content will help them prepare for any assessments that will form part of the evidence used to award their grade.

How Will My Grades Be Decided?
The video above was shared with Year 11 students on their return to school on the 8th March and on 15th March. It is important that both they and you as parents/carers are aware of its contents and how the school will be carrying out the process of assessing students to be able to award grades to students at the end of Year 11 this year.
Please watch the video below which explains further information about the process and about the on-line MS form that students must complete.
