Students need to have an interest in sport and have a high level of commitment and motivation. 40% of the course is assessed on practical ability, you need to be able to perform at a good level in a range of sporting areas and be prepared to work hard during practical lessons. Playing sports outside school is a major advantage in this course.
Do not expect this course to be completely practical. A large amount of time will be spent learning the course content in preparation for the exams.
