Ties and badges mark new prefect team
Almost a third of our Year 10 students have been successful in their application to become prefects at The Radclyffe School in the coming year. They will now be allocated to the twelve faculties and other departments around the school where they will take on a variety of roles and responsibilities.
The process of becoming a Prefect helps students to develop important skills. They first need to write a letter to their Year Manager explaining just how they can demonstrate the attributes needed for the job. This might include areas where they have taken responsibility either in school or elsewhere. They also needed to be endorsed by at least one member of staff.
In order to be considered for the role of Prefect, students must have an attendance level of at least 96%, have a strong attitude to learning and have exhibited very good behaviour consistently through the year.
So many congratulations to the 92 prefects that have been appointed. After the half term holiday we will appoint the Student Leadership Team for 2018-19, including Head Girl and Head Boy, deputies, Gifted and Talented Ambassadors and Transition Ambassadors. Good luck!
